The Venue

Our aim at Glencorse House is to give you a completely exclusive and personal wedding service far removed from the usual hotel wedding package – our overriding wish being that every aspect of your wedding day is as special and memorable as possible.

Your wedding reception will take place in a beautiful marquee on one of the lawns adjoining Glencorse House – this is tastefully lined and furnished and has a feature bay window, solid wooden floor and elegant bar area.

The Ceremony

Undoubtedly the most romantic setting imaginable for a wedding ceremony, Glencorse Old Kirk dates back to the 17th century and the famous Scottish writer Robert Louis Stevenson worshipped there and indeed wrote about the Kirk and its woodland setting on a number of occasions.

The Kirk holds a maximum of 130 people and has been carefully and beautifully restored to make it into a very private and intimate venue for your ceremony. We are able to recommend both ministers and humanist celebrants who will be able to work with you to deliver your perfect ceremony.

The Kirk can also be made available throughout the year for smaller more intimate occasions such as vow renewals, handfasting ceremonies and baptisms.

What people have said about us

Thanks so much for the greatest day of our lives yesterday! It truly was amazing! We couldn’t have asked for a better venue.

Lindsey and Jim

We just wanted to write to you to say a huge thank you for all of your help in making our wedding day so special. We had the most incredible day, a day we will truly never forget – and Glencorse was the perfect setting. We couldn’t be happier.

Jennifer and David

"If my spirit returns to earth it will be found wandering through the Glencorse Woods or sitting on the old bridge at Glencorse Kirk, the finest spot on earth."

Robert Louis Stevenson
